To acknowledge the significant contributions of our EMCR IUPHAR and ASCEPT student members, travel grants will be provided at WCP 2026.
Please note that you may apply for a travel grant through only one society.
Applications for these grants will be accepted concurrently with abstract submissions via the abstract submission portal.
WCP EMCR and Student Travel Grant
Eligibility and Requirements for EMCR Travel Grant
To be eligible for the EMCR Travel Grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a currently enrolled undergraduate or HDR student (e.g., Honours, Masters, or PhD) OR an early career researcher with a PhD conferral date after 14 September 2015 (considering periods of career disruption).
- Be presenting an oral or poster communication at WCP2026.
- Be a financial member of an IUPHAR member society.
- Indicate their interest in being considered for a Travel Grant at the time of abstract submission.
Notification and Reimbursement Process
All applicants will be notified via email regarding the outcome of their travel grant application. Successful awardees will be required to submit the following documentation for reimbursement processing:
- Proof of student enrolment status OR early career researcher eligibility (e.g., a letter from a supervisor/Head of Department or PhD conferral notification).
- Evidence of financial membership in a current IUPHAR member society (refer to IUPHAR Membership).
- Receipts for travel and accommodation expenses related to Congress attendance, incurred by either the individual or their institution.
- Banking details for the individual or institution receiving the reimbursement.
Please note that verification of Congress participation will be required before reimbursements are processed.
ASCEPT Student Travel Grant
In recognition of the valuable contribution of ASCEPT student members, ASCEPT is providing travel grants to support student attendance at the WCP 2026 Congress.
To be eligible for a student travel grant, students MUST be financial members of ASCEPT or submit the membership application in within 1 week of the abstract submission, Sunday 21 September 2025, and have been selected to present an oral or poster communication at the congress.
Eligibility and Requirements for ASCEPT Student Travel Grant
- must be a currently enrolled undergraduate and/or HDR student (e.g. Honours, Masters, or PhD)
- must be presenting an oral or poster communication at WCP2026
- must be a financial Graduate Student member of ASCEPT by 7 September 2025
- must be a financial ASCEPT member at the time of travel to WCP2026
- must indicate that they wish to be considered for a Student Travel Grant when submitting their abstract via the online submission site.
Notification and Reimbursement Process
All applicants will be notified via email regarding the outcome of their travel grant application. Successful awardees will be required to submit the following documentation for reimbursement processing:
- Proof of student enrolment status (e.g., a letter of support from a supervisor/Head of Department / Head of School or equivalent, confirming your enrolment status and how will you benefit from attendance at the congress)
- Evidence of financial membership in a current ASCEPT member society (refer to ASCEPT Membership).
- Receipts for travel and accommodation expenses related to Congress attendance, incurred by either the individual or their institution.
- Must fill out the ASCEPT student travel grant form and provide flight and accommodation receipts by return email to the ASCEPT Executive Officer at: ascept@ascept.org by no later than Friday 19 June 2026
